10 ideas to create your dream bedroom on a budget

We spend a lot of time sleeping, even if we constantly feel that we don't get enough sleep! On average we actually spend 1/3 of our life asleep and we have probably all felt the downsides of not getting a good night sleep!

Therefore, the bedroom is one of the most important rooms in the house but still it tends to be the last room we focus our creative decoration skills on!

But transforming your bedroom into a peaceful haven doesn't have to leave a whole on your wallet!

Here are the 10 best ideas to create your dream bedroom on a budget!!!

1. Stick to a minimal look and keep the backdrop simple by painting the walls in a neutral soothing colour. This will not only look peaceful and elegant but will also help you to relax.

4. Buy second-hand woollen blankets and pillows to decorate the bed, making it the centre piece of the room. Alternatively create a patch-work cover with fabric remnants that you can buy for next to nothing from patch-work or charity shops.

6. Create extra hanging space on doors or walls by adding hooks to hold necklaces, bags or scarves.

7. Look out for second-hand lamps that you can use as bedside lamps. Isn't there an old desk lamp in your shed that you wanted to throw way ages ago? Maybe it will look great in your bedroom!

  2. That's a great post with very inspiring pictures. I especially like dresses displayed on the wall and have hung a few of my daughters' prettiest small dresses (now outgrown) in their bedroom.

  3. I redid my bedroom 2yrs ago and completely agree with this post. I kept the furnishings very minimal, colors neutral except for a focal wall behind the bed which I tied in with throw pillows. My photography is black, white, and big! I tucked baskets into the open spaces of my nightstand tables to hide by books and such; and purchased very simple brushed steel bedside lamps that I adore. I also have an upholstered headboard and the cushiest bedding, plus orchids in a simple glass vase to cozy it all up :)

  12. Our bedroom represents our inner self. It should always be organized and spacious as possible. It's because of the reason that it is the place where at the end of the day, we will rest all of our stress.
